Hibiscus Flowers are Beautiful in Every Stage

It’s no real secret that I am really attracted to hibiscus flowers. I used to have several plants all of which had different colored flowers, but over time all of them died for one reason or another. I really don’t have lots of time to care for house plants, so after the last one died, I swore I wouldn’t get another. But about two years ago I was in the hardware store and ended up in the garden section. It was spring and this beautiful hibiscus was covered in bright pink flowers. I couldn’t help it, I had to get it. Now, every time it gets a nice flower, I’m out there with my camera taking photos. The problem has become that I have too many hibiscus flower images, so I have taken to trying to find creative things to do with them. This is my latest image of one of the flowers just beginning to open. I processed it in such a way as to darken the background and allow the flower to really pop. But I felt that it needed something else as well, so I experimented around with a couple things, but ultimately settled on drawing a bubble around the flower. The effect sort of reminded me of a snow globe (with no snow), but I liked it. Please let me know what you think of it. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
