The Tufted Titmouse is a Bright and Beautiful Bird

It’s always great to see the tufted titmouse (Baeolophus bicolor) family come by for a visit. As a general rule, the tufted titmouse is a happy and friendly little bird. They aren’t overly shy, but they don’t tend to be aggressive with the other birds, either. In fact, it’s not uncommon for them to show up either with the Carolina chickadees or the cardinals. This is especially true during the nonbreeding season, but even in summer they tend to be sweet. This little bird just looked incredibly happy with the seed it had, and made a very short stop in front of a spot of sunlight glowing through the woods. The sun made the little guy kind of glow, too. I managed this one quick shot before he was off again into the deeper woods to eat his prize. It’s a good reminder that we should try to be happy with what we have and that we should just enjoy the sunshine and the day in general.
