Beautiful Little Songbirds Don’t Mind a Bit of Rain
It has finally started to rain in my part of central Florida, and as is typical, the rain comes and goes in a heartbeat sometimes. Last week I was watching the critters at the feeding station on a sunny morning. A large, dark cloud rolled through, and decided to drop some rain on us. When this happens the rain usually only lasts a few minutes, so there was no need to go inside. Apparently, this little tufted titmouse (Baeolophus bicolor) felt the same way because it flew into the uncovered feeding area and helped itself to several nice seeds before heading off again. A few minutes later the sun was bright and shining again. They say that in Florida during the summer, if you don’t like the weather, just wait a few minutes and it will change.
