Today, World Photography Day, is a Great Reason to Celebrate

August 19 is traditionally World Photography Day. This day celebrates our many, many uses for photography from documenting our daily lives to sharing history and world events. Photography can be thought of as a universal language that allows people everywhere to share experiences. World Photography Day occurs on August 19 because that is believed to be the date that the French government bought the patent for the very first camera device, and made it available to the public. In celebration of World Photography Day, here are a few photos from my collection. Please enjoy!
