The Sun Creates a Stunning and Beautiful Glow in the Underbrush
One of the things that I enjoy this time of the year is the early onset of evening. It means that if I decide to take a walk after work, I’m likely to get some of that beautiful late afternoon and early evening light (of course also followed by a sunset). Later in the year down here the sun doesn’t set until 9:00 pm or later, which means a much longer wait for that great light. Last week when I went out to the Bailey Trails in the Gothe State Forest, the sun was slowly sinking towards the horizon, and its glow spread to a lot of the grasses and some of the other plants in the under story of the forest. It was quite stunning and it just made you glad to be alive and out in the woods. I like the image that I was able to capture, but it really doesn’t do the whole scene justice.
