January’s Bright Full Moon was Perfectly Cloudy
The full moon in January happened in the middle of the month on a partially cloudy evening. At first, it seemed like it was going to be too cloudy to see much of the moon except a bit of a glow through the clouds. But as the evening wore on, the clouds cleared out some and the moon slipped in and out between them. I took a number of images with the moon covered almost completely with clouds to not covered at all by clouds and pretty much everything in between. This one was one of my favorites since I liked the cloud coverage and the way the clouds picked up a glow from the moon. It was taken fairly early in the evening before the sky got completely dark, which also allowed some color in the clouds and sky.
