It Wouldn’t be Spring Without Colorful Azalea Flowers

The local azaleas have been blooming for a couple of weeks now, but for some reason, the bushes that I usually photograph aren’t producing well this year. These azaleas aren’t Florida natives (or US natives for that matter, although there is a native azalea that also grows around here), so for the most part they aren’t growing wild, but instead are planted. That usually means up in someone’s yard. Much as I love azaleas, I don’t go up into people’s yards to take photos of anything. It’s rude, and out in our rural area, it could even potentially get you shot. But this afternoon I came across this bush that was producing these gorgeous pink flowers and was out near the road. It was a beautiful afternoon, the light was good, and I don’t think I’ve ever photographed this shade of pink azaleas before, so of course I stopped. The bush was really producing a lot of flowers and buds, so it wasn’t tough to find some beauties to shoot.
