I love it when the conditions are right to see the moon in the late afternoon. We tend to think of the moon as being part of the night sky, but sometimes it’s visible early in the morning or late in the afternoon, too. When I see an afternoon moon, I often try to get photos of it. This one is an oldie from back in 2020, but it was pretty noisy and I didn’t want to share it. Although I’m a firm believer in trying to get it right in the camera, I also now know a lot more about post processing. I decided it was time to try to do some work on it. I’m pretty pleased with the final results and was happy that I even got a little bit of glow around the edge of the moon. It’s definitely not perfect, but so very much improved. Sometimes it’s interesting to review older images. I wonder what I will have learned four years from now. I welcome anyone’s thoughts or suggestions.
