The Tickseeds Really are Pretty Much Everywhere Now
Earlier this week I was headed home from a shopping trip and I went a different way than usual and discovered this field full of tickseed flowers (Coreopsis leavenworthii). I hadn’t planned to stop for any photos, but I always have my camera with me just in case. This was similar to the shot I was hoping to get a little while back when instead I ended up photographing pollinators. It was really pretty looking across that field and that image just needed to be preserved. If you notice, the field on the other side of the fence was completely absent of flowers because it was mowed. There was a house further back that was behind both fields, so I have to assume that the one lot wasn’t mowed because of all the wildflowers. I know if it was my property, I would definitely look forward to that being my front yard every summer.
