Fence Lizards Love to Warm ‘ Themselves in the Summer Sun
For the past few years, every summer I have had a little fence lizard (Sceloporus undulatus) that suns itself on top of my fence in the late afternoon. If the sun is out, my lizard friend usually meets me when I get home from work. I’m not sure if it’s the same lizard each year or not, but each year it gets pretty used to my coming and going and let’s me get pretty close to it. I took this shot one afternoon later in the evening so that the sun was behind the lizard. I wasn’t really sure how well it would come out, but I was pleasantly surprised. I kind of like to get a photo of my little buddy each year, since I’m not sure it’s the same one year after year.
