A Single Drop of Rain Can Be a Beautiful Thing
Yesterday afternoon just as we were leaving our office, we had one of our afternoon downpours. They usually don’t last long, so by the time I got home the sun was out again. I took advantage and decided to take some photos of raindrops both by themselves and on some of the wildflowers that grow in my yard. I really liked the way the raindrop on the tip of this oak twig reflected the surroundings. The lichen growing on the twig was a nice pop of color that just added to the interesting aspects of the image. The moisture of the rain always makes the lichens green up for a little while. I always enjoy getting outside after a rain. The water makes everything shine and feel clean. Even the air feels clean.
