Is the Pink Squirrel a Delicious Drink or a Colorful Painting?

A little while ago, I was doing some experiments with my telephoto lens and shot photos of several of the birds and Eastern grey squirrels (Sciurus carolinensis) that come to my feeding station every day. The image that this is based on was too noisy and slightly out of focus, so it wasn’t useful as a photo, but it was perfect for a digital painting (something else I’m experimenting with). The fun thing about digital painting is that it really allows your creativity to shine through and you can do whatever you want to. Since wildlife and nature are the motivators for all my artwork, I’m sure most of my digital painting will focus on those subjects, but I’m trying out some looser styles than I use in my drawings. I would love your feedback on this experiment.
