As many of you probably know, sunset is about my favorite time of the day. I love sunrises, too, but I’m not by nature a morning person, so sunset fits my lifestyle a little better. Both times of the day are so peaceful, the light is wonderful, and the colors are often amazing. A couple weeks ago, while I was off work, I went out to Cedar Key, which is a small island fishing village and tourist spot on the Gulf Coast of our county. It’s a good place to take out of town guests for a day trip or to go birding (which was my main reason for going). The afternoon that I went, I didn’t expect much of a sunset since the sky was very clear. A few clouds usually help reflect light and produce some color. It turned out that I was very wrong! I was crossing the bridge that connects the island to the mainland and this was the scene.
