The February Full Moon was Bright, High Above the Trees
At the beginning of February we had a large, bright full moon. It seemed like a good opportunity to get in a little practice with my telephoto lens. I’ve been trying to get better at using it since it really is a vital tool for wildlife photography and using it we’ll definitely takes a little practice. Some of the photos I took of the moon were out of focus or had too much hand shake (I didn’t have a tripod with me at the time), but I did end up with some useful ones, including the one above. I was pretty pleased with how the moon turned out, but I wasn’t thrilled with the trees. They would definitely look better if they were in better focus. Next time, I may try a little focus stacking.
