Flower Seed Heads Can Make Great Artistic Subjects
As I searched through my recent photos to share today, I was feeling the urge to do something with color manipulation. I haven’t done one of these in awhile and I do enjoy them. These seed heads of the coastalplain hawkweed (Hieracium megacephalon) seemed to be just the ticket. They had a nice texture and variety of shades of the original colors, which lends itself well to this type of work. I actually did several renditions, all of which I like for different reasons, so rather than choosing just one, I decided to share them all and let you guys choose. Which one do you prefer? Why do you prefer it?
