This has been a rainy spring so far, and after it rains heavily the sand is always smoothed out and produces some exceptional quality tracks if walked on. All sorts of creatures walk on the wet sand, and some of the tracks can be pretty interesting, but one of my favorites is always the dog track. These tracks were on the road that runs through our neighborhood. I am assuming that they are from a domesticated dog (most likely), but out here in the woods they could also be from a coyote or a fox as well.
