Number Five in the Tree Series is a Beautiful Blooming Azalea
With spring in full flow now flowers are literally popping out everywhere, including on all of the local azaleas. There is one place that I pass daily on my way to and from work that has very impressive azaleas all along the front of their property and down their driveway. Every year I admire them as I go by, especially when they are in full bloom. I have a couple of azaleas on my property, but nothing like these! And at least once a year I have to stop and take some pictures of these fabulous bushes and their flowers. Azaleas are technically a bush or shrub rather than a tree, but like the bamboo, they have too much character not to be included in this series. Azaleas have a very different type of personality from the live oaks or the palmettos, but they are still very interesting and each one is different. Some are large, others small, some are trimmed and others almost out of control. And of course, they have different flower colors, all of which makes them interesting, at least in my eyes.
