Clearing Storm Clouds at Sunset Become a Colorful Display
Things have been very dismal here for the past three days. It’s been relatively warm (middle 50’s), but overcast and rainy, making it definitely feel colder. But worst of all, there has been no sun shining. It’s unusual in this area to not see much sun for three days. This dismal, dreary, drab weather really put me in the mood for some color. So tonight I went back into my archives and looked for something colorful. I looked at several flowers and couple of other sunsets and sunrises when I came across this one from the late fall of 2020. It had been another stormy day, and I was late getting home, so I was just on my way about 5:30 pm. As I was headed home, the storm clouds were beginning to clear and the sun was going down. The lighter clouds were suddenly turned a bright crimson color, leaving the darker clouds kind of a purplish color. The clouds were moving pretty quickly. It was very pretty and required a stop for photos before it all went away. I thought the storm clouds were appropriate for tonight, but the color was just what i had been looking for! Tomorrow this front is supposed to move out and the temperatures are supposed to drop into the mid 20s, but at least we will see the sun!!!
