Sometimes It’s Not Just the Sunrise Itself that Creates a Beautiful Dawn
On Tuesday morning as I turned out of my driveway to go to work I was greeted by the scene above. I couldn’t believe how beautiful the clouds were that morning. These clouds were actually on the northern horizon, not to the east, where the sun rises. The sun itself wasn’t actually quite above the horizon yet, but obviously it was already putting off some some colorful rays. The light from the rising sun was reflecting onto those clouds and turned them a lovely shade of pink and the darker areas became lavender. I think part of what made it so striking was also the structure of the clouds. They were running in horizontal lines which seemed to enhance the effects of the colors. It was a great start to my morning. With that kind of start, how can it be a bad day, right?
