Every once in awhile the conditions are just right so that you can actually see the moon during the late afternoon to early evening. I have always enjoyed watching these afternoon moons. They require a pretty clear sky with a fairly dark blue tint that I find especially pretty. And since the sky is not as dark as it is at night, the afternoon moon looks white in the sky, but it’s not super bright. I just find that combination very appealing. The problem with these afternoon moons is that they are fairly high up in the sky, so often when photographing them, you can’t get anything else except sky and moon in the frame, and that makes for kind of an boring image. So since nature refused to give me what I wanted, I decided to make it myself! This composite is the final result. Let me know what you think.
