A Tangled Web of Fallen Branches Is Natures Beautiful Sculpture

This old live oak tree lived in the Gothe State Forest for many, many years and died long before I moved here and began walking these woods. The tangled branches that remain are one of Mother Nature’s many beautiful sculptures. Although some people may just see an old, dead tree, this tree is actually teeming with life and is just as important to this ecosystem now as it was in life.
