Spring Sunrise in Florida Can be a Beautiful and Magical Time
This time of the year in Florida, sunrise can be an altogether gorgeous time of the day. The mornings are still cool enough that you might want a light jacket, but they certainly aren’t icy cold anymore. The cool is a bit of a welcome relief, since the daytime highs are getting into the 80s (and reached 90, today) now. Spring is a very short season in this neck of the woods, and before long, even the early mornings will be hot.
Ever since the time changed, I have been driving to work right about at the time the sun is rising. A lot of these mornings because of the cooler morning temperatures we have various amounts of mist on the ground. Some mornings it’s so thick that it’s hard to see much of anything, but a lot of the time it’s just enough to make everything really pretty. Then add in the gorgeous colors of the sunrise, and it can be a truly magical time of the day (almost makes it worth being up and moving so early!).
A lot of folks think that Florida is all beaches, but in this area, the beach is about a two hour drive (or longer) away. Instead, we have woods, sandhills, and pastures, so sunrises from around here may not be your “typical” Florida sunrises, but I still think they are quite beautiful. Behind our office and the dog kennels we have an open space, and then in the distance, pine and oaks woods. It makes for a very nice place to shoot sunrises, especially on some of our misty mornings. After all, the sunrise is the main subject, but the landscape is important, too! So, even though there’s no beach, I hope you can enjoy these beautiful central Florida sunrises as much as I do!
