The Beautiful Little Chickadees are Great Artistic Inspiration

After cleaning my hummingbird feeder and letting the fresh nectar cool, I went outside at dusk to rehang it. While I was out there a little Carolina chickadee (Poecile carolinensis) was perched on a branch on the beautyberry tree not far away watching me very intently. I was actually surprised to find a songbird out so late, but I took advantage and snapped a few shots. I loved the really dark background behind the bird, but it was very plain, so I decided to spice it up a little. By adding a little color and light stripes I ended up with a chickadee that looks like it has an aurora behind it. Living in Florida this is probably the only way my chickadees will ever experience an aurora, but I liked the way it looked. What do you think?
