Today was supposed to be my day to head out to Cedar Key for an afternoon birding trip, but unfortunately, we got rained out. But since I didn’t get to go to Cedar Key, I thought I would present a photo from a previous trip. As I have said several times before, Cedar Key is a wonderful place to go not only for birds, but also for sunsets. On more than one occasion I have gone out there just for a peaceful sunset after an exceptionally difficult day. This evening wasn’t the end of a hard day at all, but the simplicity of the nearly cloudless sky and the smooth water nearly perfectly reflecting all that color on the horizon was just irresistible.
