If you have read much of this blog, you probably know that I really love the little oven birds (Seiurus aurocapilla). They are only here for the winter, so I have to enjoy them while I can. It also means that I photograph them as often as possible while they are here. Luckily for you, I don’t share all of those photos! But sometimes these adorable, demure, little birds place themselves in a truly beautiful setting. This morning this one hopped up onto a perch in the morning sunlight and it lit up both the bird and the background in an irresistible way. How could I not take such a shot?
