Most of the time sunrise is a beautiful time of day. The world is still peaceful and quiet, and there’s almost always at least some color up in the sky. But some days the color is absolutely incredible. This spot is one of my favorites for watching a sunrise since it has a nice open field most of the way to the horizon. On this particular morning the cloudy sky really reflected the color of the sun as it came up and gave the horizon a bright orange glow. As the yellow sun topped the tree line it made the whole horizon look like it was on fire. The effect only lasted for a couple of minutes, so I was very happy that I happened to be in a great place to watch.
