Even in Fall, the Florida Sun is Bright and Strong

Fall has definitely arrived in central Florida. We are beginning to see a few color changes in the local foliage and fall birds are starting to arrive. Days are somewhat cooler and evenings are much cooler. It’s finally nice to go outside and not sweat! The birds are probably just as relieved as we are. Just the other day, I caught this little tufted titmouse (Baeolophus bicolor) enjoying the early morning sun. It was still fairly cool and it had found a nice warm spot in the sun where it could warm up before starting the daily routine.
