One of the Most Colorful Sunsets Cannot be Bypassed
Last Monday, I spent the day working at the private veterinary practice where I used to work full time. When I work there we start a little later than my current job, but we finish up later. As I drove home, I was monitoring the sunset in my rear view mirror. It was pretty bright with lots of orange and yellow hues. While I occasionally checked it in my mirror, it looked nice, but nothing spectacular. There weren’t many clouds on the horizon to pick up the colors. Or so it seemed. When I turned off the highway, I passed an open field that gave me a much better view of the horizon, and I was blown away. This wave of clouds on the horizon had picked up the colors of the sunset perfectly and spectacularly. The colors were so intense, and the shape of the cloud bank was very interesting. I hadn’t been planning to stop up until then, but of course, I had to stop for some photos at that point! Had I not needed to make that turn and gotten to a less wooded area, I would never have realized what a fantastic sunset I was missing out on.
