After a week long Arctic blast with several inches of snow in the Florida panhandle and north Florida, our weather is finally getting back to normal. Although it definitely isn’t spring yet, the warmer weather put me in the mood for nice waterfront sunset. I had to look back a little bit to find a shot that really captured my mood, but this one was definitely it. It was taken last spring at about 7 pm (hence the name. And yes, I am aware that the actual song lyric and title is “It’s five o’clock somewhere”) in Cedar Key. Cedar Key is one of my favorite local spots for birding and/or a beautiful sunset, so that seemed appropriate, too. I know many of you are still feeling the effects of winter, but maybe this photo will warm you up, even if it’s just a little.
