An Unusual View of a Beautiful Green Tree Frog
As many of you know, I love green tree frogs! They are pretty common around here in the warmer months of the year, and I always have a bunch of them. They are attracted by the fact that I have several water sources available for them to lay their eggs in. They also like to get on the windows at night. The lights from inside the house attract all sorts of moths and other insects and the frogs can get a good meal pretty easily. Last fall this little one was on the front door window and when I turned on the porch light it illuminated him very nicely. The light from inside the house and then from above him as well almost made him look transparent, especially around his feet. The light from above also helped to bring out his lovely green face and side. In all my studies everyone always says that light is what makes or breaks a photo, and at least in this case, that’s absolutely true! Before turning on the porch light the yellowish underside of the frog was pretty uninteresting.
