Obviously, the mist itself isn’t actually pink, it’s the rising sun reflecting off of the clouds, but it did give the mist a pinkish hue, as well. This was another one of those mornings that the sunrise on my way to work was incredible, but it lasted only a few short minutes. I took this photo as I was leaving my house and driving through the Gothe State Forest land. It takes about five minutes to drive from this spot to the open pastures that face east and give a great sunrise view. By the time I reached that area, all the pink was gone and the yellows and oranges were taking over. Sunrises and sunsets are definitely a fleeting thing with each moment noticeably different from the last. It’s something to be enjoyed and savored because it will never happen again quite the same way.
