Tonight’s photo is another one that I took last summer. Around here summers are usually pretty wet with lots of afternoon thunderstorms, and with all the rain comes mushrooms and other fungi growing all over the place. I noticed this cool looking fuzzy red topped mushroom growing under some trees in my yard. There were several white and tan ones growing there, too, but I really liked the textures on the top of this one. This shot was taken with a fish eye lens. I don’t use it often, but sometimes the roundness that it gives an image is really intriguing. In this case, it matched the roundness of the mushroom top very nicely.
