An Acorn Can Make a Great Study of Texture
I had so much fun making the photo stack that I did last night that I had to try another one. Actually, this is a photo I’ve wanted to take (and tried to) for awhile. I love the layers and textures of the tops of these acorns that my oak tress produce every fall, but especially when adding in the stem at the top, it’s impossible to get everything in focus. I find that my new camera and macro lens have an even smaller depth of field than my iPhone does, but the focus on that plane and the detail it collects are better. By doing the focus stacking, it gives me what I think is a pretty nice image.
