Yesterday was World Environment Day!

I am once again a day behind, but yesterday was a very important day as World Environment Day 2021. It’s important as a day where we, as human beings, should take a bit of time to look at what we are doing to our environment and make plans to do more to keep our world safe. But this year’s World Environment Day also kicks off the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration 2021-2030. The focus of this decade is to stop destruction of ecosystems all over this world, and to begin the restoration process. Everyone’s participation can help to stop global warming, prevent mass extinction events (including possibility our own), and improve the quality of life for ourselves, our children, and our grandchildren. To learn more about this event go to https://www.un.org/en/observances/environment-day. In the meantime here are a few photos of how amazing our world can be to help motivate everyone.

If anyone has information about specific events going on as part of this important decade, please post details and/or links in the comments.
