As many of you know, I love my tree frogs (and frogs in general, but tree frogs are just so darned cute). So when I spot one I have to get out the old camera. It’s not at all unusual to find them on my kitchen windows at night when I go outside. They will use their sticky little toes to hang onto the glass and wait for moths and beetles to be attracted to the windows by the light from inside the house. It’s amazing how quickly they can go from looking pretty relaxed and comfortable like this guy does, to pouncing on an unsuspecting insect. Once the insect is caught, they go right back to looking relaxed. I love just sitting outside on the deck sometimes and watching them hunt. They miss every once in awhile, but not very darned often!
