Beautiful Sunsets are Not Unusual in Cedar Key

Recently, I’ve been spending a fair amount of time out in Cedar Key. My pen and ink artwork has been accepted by one of the galleries out there, the Cedar Keyhole Gallery. That has resulted in fairly frequent visits, which, I might add, I’ve enjoyed thoroughly. When the circumstances are right, I always like to watch the sunset when I’m there. In my opinion, sunsets over the sea are almost always exceptional. On this particular evening the sky was pretty clear, so there wasn’t a lot of after the sunset color, but the sunset itself was magnificent. The dipping sun created a beautiful beam of light across the water. I don’t often include a lot of manmade objects in my images, but in this case I think the building and the dock added to the story and the overall composition. Once again, Cedar Key comes through in the sunset department!
