Sunset is Especially Colorful When Clouds are Around

I really enjoying going out to the island of Cedar Key on the gulf coast of Florida. Although there is a thriving small community there is still a lot of wild space, much of which is protected. There are also lots of birds, wildflowers, and insects that we don’t have further inland, where I live. And, whenever I go out to Cedar Key in the afternoon I try to catch the sunset over the water, too. Like any place else, some sunsets are better than others, but it’s always nice to see the colors reflected on the water. Sunsets tend to be more colorful if there are some clouds on the horizon to the reflect the colors, too, but if it’s too cloudy all the colors are muted by them. It’s a fine balance to get a great sunset, but this evening I lucked out and got a pretty spectacular one. Don’t you think so?
