Sida Flowers are Beautiful and Well Suited for Art

So many of the flowers that we happen to call “weeds” are surprisingly beautiful if you just allow them to grow. These little sida flowers (Sida rhombifolia) are one of my all time favorite weeds. I really like the little shock of stamens in the center of the delicate, nicely textured petals. The texture of the little buds and the serrated leaves is also very appealing, so whenever I see one, I just have to get some images. But when you take a lot of photos of something, you want to do something different or unusual with them from time to time, so I decided to do a bit of artistic processing and played with the colors a bit. All of those elements that I love so much lend themselves very nicely to this type of processing, so this is not the first time I’ve done it. Let me know what you think.
