Passion Fruit Flowers are Really Beautiful and Quite Unique

Ever since I first saw one of these purple passion fruit flowers growing wild in my yard, I have been passionate about them. To me they are quite attractive and they definitely have an exotic look to them. I still remember looking out the window in my dog house and noticing a large, purple flower growing. I had never seen anything quite like it. That year they grew like mad all over the yard and I was fascinated with them. I took lots and lots of photos (I was just starting doing photography back then, too). Since then, they have grown in that original area year after year. If we got reasonable amounts of rain, there were quite a few. If it was dry, there weren’t so many, but a few always powered through and produced fruit. Each year I love watching the vines grow with their curly shoots and wait for the flowers to start blooming. We’ve gotten a bit of a late start this year thanks to a cooler than normal spring and a fairly dry one, too. Now we’re starting to get into afternoon thunderstorm season and the rains are starting. So too are the passion fruit flowers.
