The Waxing Crescent Moon is Beautiful at the Beach

Last night I went out to Cedar Key after work in hopes of a pretty sunset. We’ve had several lately that look really nice through the woods, and I wished I’d been some place to see it more clearly. Unfortunately, yesterday evening the scattered clouds up in the sky were all off in the east, so the sunset was nothing spectacular. After the sun had completely set, but the sky still had a bit of light in it the crescent moon came out, and it was beautiful! One thing I’ve learned in wildlife and nature photography is the importance of being flexible. So instead of sunset photos today, you get a moon shot. Enjoy!
