A Palamedes Butterfly is a Great Subject for Drawing

I’ve been trying to find a bit more time for drawing lately. I love doing photography, don’t get me wrong, but the whole reason I started taking photos was to have references for drawing. Most of my drawing is done in pen and ink style, although I frequently use my tablet and the Procreate app instead of paper and pen, but I wanted to try something a little more colorful for this one. It’s based on one of my photos of a Palamedes butterfly (Papilio Palamedes), but I added in some flowers (in the photo it was on a blade of grass) and gave it a colorful, abstract background similar to the ones I used in my neon drawings. Let me know your thoughts.
