A Creatively Processed Photo Makes a Beautiful Piece of Art
I took some photos of this bunch of seeds on my latest hike in the Gothe State Forest. I had gone looking for birds, but didn’t have much luck. I did find some pretty cool fungi and a surprising number of plants in seed. I had actually intended to take more seed photos since many of them were quite pretty, but I started running out of light and didn’t really want to be out in the woods after dark. I decided to have some fun with this bunch of seeds and put the image through some creative processing apps and then did a little bit of hand drawing. I always enjoy playing with my photos to see what I can create. Some turn out in a way I like and I share them. Others don’t, and those go to the trash can. I will say, I’m getting better a producing interesting art this way as I get a better understanding of what the apps can and can’t do and what types of images work best. It’s all an enjoyable learning process. What do you think?
