Summer Sunrises Can be Beautiful Even in a Cloudless Sky
Earlier this week I got up early to go watch the sunrise. I went to one of my favorite places, which is an open field not far from my house. It has nothing to block the view of the sky and provides a pretty foreground for photos. Unfortunately, it wasn’t one of Florida’s most colorful sunrises. There were no clouds in the sky to reflect the colors as the sun came up. It was still pretty, just not super colorful. Once the sun was up I decided to head to a hiking spot for a short walk. Just a little bit down the road, I came to this field with a herd of cattle already up and grazing and a group of early rising cattle egrets attending them. The sun was a little above the horizon and casting some very nice soft yellow light. There was also a slight haze above the horizon that was picking up just a touch of color. This field was less than a mile from the first one, but much prettier and more interesting. It all goes to show that even a small change in location can make all the difference.
