Polychromatic Coloration Adds New Life to an Old Seed
It’s been a little while since I’ve done one of these kaleidoscopic modified images and this old, dried up seed seemed like a perfect subject. I originally photographed it on a hike in the Gothe State Forest because I really liked its texture. Unfortunately, the color was just varied shades of dull brown, so except for the texture, it wasn’t very interesting. Even the background was mostly brown. But with a little makeover, not only does it still have interesting texture, but it’s much prettier to look at overall. If you read this blog very often, you’ve probably realized that my favorite type of work to do is work that involves both photography and drawing. I also really enjoy playing with colors, so this was a perfect project for me.
