Every spring one of our first flowers to start blooming are the azaleas. There is one place that I pass on my way to and from work that has quite a lot of them lining their driveway and along the property line. This time of year they become a wall of flowers in pink and white. I usually stop there several times while they are blossoming to photograph both the flowers and the bees that they attract. I stopped for the first time last week, just as they were starting to put out flowers. I have been away at a conference for the better part of a week, and when I drove by there today, I was impressed with how many flowers had opened in just a week. I will have to stop by again soon to see if the bees are starting to arrive, too.
