At the beginning of December I went to Payne’s Prairie State Park and walked down to Lake Wauberg for the sunset. It turned out to be a wonderful sunset, the end of which I shared with a roosting great blue heron. Although I watched the beginnings of the sunset by myself, it was still quite nice. In fact, it was doubly nice because the still water of the lake gave off a nearly perfect reflection of the sunset and the clouds in the sky. The reflected clouds even showed the color they were taking on from the sunset.
