No, it’s not some new, exotic type of azalea (actually I’m sure you realize that). It’s just another one of my experiments with colors. The original photo was of a pink azalea flower and you can see some remnants of that color on the edges of the petals. Then I manipulated the color to get the blue and yellow. I did a bit of hand drawing to get some of the details the way I wanted them, especially on the petals. This is the type of project I really enjoy doing since it combines photography and graphic arts, too. I may do a couple more of these in the near future since I had so much fun with this one.
