After the Sunset the Sky Can Still be Colorful
On Friday I went to see my Mom at her place to have a belated Thanksgiving dinner. On the way down, it occurred to me that it might be fun to go out to the beach to watch the sunset. We got there just before the scheduled time for the sunset, and the sky was already quite colorful. There were quite a few people there and many of them were photographing the sunset as it happened. Once the sun dropped below the horizon there was a mass exodus and most of the people left, but we decided to stay a bit longer. I took quite a few more images as the colors and clouds changed very quickly. And then the moon came out. It was just a sliver of a new moon and it looked amazing against the fading colors in the sky. We only stayed about 15-20 minutes longer than the crowds, but that moon made it all worthwhile. Another lesson well learned. Never leave the show until it’s completely over!
